I am an "over-dresser"… an "over-accessorizer"… I'm just a little more "extra" than your average human. I am a mom of identical twin boys! I love being surrounded by all of my boys (my two sons and my super hot hubby), but this former Miss Texas, NFL Cheerleader & NBA Dancer needs an outlet for her fashion, beauty and fitness obsession. Welcome to my little corner of the world.
Here I am talking about a pop of color again. My love for that unexpected color bleeds over from how I dress and into my home. Most of my house is neutral but I love to throw in an accent that is bold and vibrant. In my bedroom we did just that with this turquoise headboard. It gives my bedroom life! There is nothing better or EASIER to wear than a peplum top. Couple that with a plaid summer pattern and convertible sleeves and this is one perfect outfit. Shop my look below: (linking my zebra print chair for fun)
I am IN LOVE with my new welcome mat! When in Texas, right?!!! 😉 Other than my cute mat, here are some of my summer faves. A little leopard print, some turquoise and a lot of fun. Happy Thursday! Shop my look (and mat) below:
While most of us are undoubtedly filling our 4 day weekend with hot dogs, celebration and fun in the sun, don’t forget to take a moment to remember what Memorial Day is truly about. Today we must remember the courageous men and women who have payed the ultimate price for our freedoms. Memorial day is for those who have died during combat while serving this great nation. Today while you are drinking beer and floating in a pool, take notice at the flags that are flying at half staff… don’t forget to pause for a National Moment of Remembrance at 3pm local time… for this holiday is more than what we give it.
“I am oppressed with a sense of the impropriety of uttering words on this occasion […] If silence is ever golden, it must be beside the graves of fifteen-thousand men, whose lives were more significant than speech, and whose death was a poem the music of which can never be sung.”
James A. Garfield – Civil War General, Republican Congressman and 20th U.S. President
I love nothing more than a big ole, in your face, out of nowhere, pop of color! We wear a LOT of camo at our house. We consider it our family color. I know that may sound silly to some, but we work hard to be a great team in our house and a great team needs a great color. We are a house full of adventure seekers, adrenaline junkies, fighters, warriors, athletes, hard workers, and rough and tumblin’ boys… What other color could we choose? So, when we as a family sport our “family color”, I throw in some hot pink. What else is this “Boy Mom” to do?! Shop the look below:

Plaid is THE print for Fall. I paired this burgundy, plaid shirt with my favorite OTK boots and a khaki skirt for this Monday. Coming back to reality after a holiday break is never fun. I’m still relishing in my week and holding onto all of those memories I made with family and friends! I hope your first day back to your routine is painless and your heads and hearts are flooded with all of the memories you made. Shop the look below:
I plan on indulging a bit tomorrow! Since I know there will be pumpkin pie, dressing, mashed potatoes and my mom’s famous Cranberry ice cream…. I hit the gym hard this morning! Workout outfit and today’s workout are below:
